Worship

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!  Serve the Lord with gladness!  Come into his presence with singing!  Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!  Give thanks to him;
bless his name!   Psalm 100:1-2, 4

 Worship Team Leader

The worship team invites you to experience God's many blessings through our spirit-filled services. Our team works to create an authentic and vibrant time of and the joy of song. Gathering together in worship with fellow believers is a vital component of growing in Christian maturity, strengthening faith and trust in Jesus, and maintaining humility and gratefulness to our God who loves and saves us.

While we work and wait for, in God's perfect timing, a permanent building for our still-new congregation, we appreciate the blessing we have been enjoying in our temporary gathering space. We hope that, like us, you too will discover that worshipping in spirit and truth makes any space suitable for genuine divine worship.

Worship Team Committees

Music Ministry
The music ministry is a vital part of the worship experience. This team develops and directs a spirit-filled, well-rounded music program that includes both adults and youth volunteers. There are many ways to serve and join the fellowship of this ministry, including worship song leaders, choir, gifts of special music, children's music, guitar lessons and praise band.

Service Format and Music Planning
As part of the music ministry team, these folks carefully select the hymns, songs and supporting music for each week to match the scripture readings and reiterate the sermon message for each worship service. We use prayerful effort in planning the music, asking God to guide our selections, to strengthen authentic worship and to enhance effective delivery and application of biblical truth.

Worship Service Support
This team supports the church by organizing and preparing communion, altar paraments and seasonal decorating.  The atmosphere created results in an inviting and pleasant environment that enhances authentic, meaningful worship in our services.

Sunday Team (Readers, Ushers and Greeters)
Reading scripture is our way, as a body of believers, to share the word of God with one another. Greeters and ushers strive toward setting an atmosphere of friendliness, personal welcoming and comfort in our church, which facilitates
connections and development of relationships between members, visitors and newcomers.

Children's Sermon
This team uses their creative, energetic, God-given talents of storytelling and teaching scripture messages to our youth.  God's word of truth coupled with humor and fun gives our children weekly insight into how much Jesus loves them.
Giving the children a "sermon of their own" during the worship service at their intellectual level also communicates that they are important to our church and encourages their continued involvement as they grow into young adult members of the church.

Sound Team
This team is a group of servants who provides support for worship in a behind-the-scenes but very important way.  By arriving before services to set up sound equipment, monitoring the system throughout the service, and shutting down and putting equipment away following the service, they are contributing to the music ministry team's effort to sustain authentic, spirit-filled worship.  Managing volume levels and trouble-shooting problems ensures that our worship, praise and prayers will not be interrupted or hindered with technical difficulties.  The reliability and support of this team also provides care, maintenance of the equipment and supplies, as well as helping plan for future sound system needs as our church continues to grow.
